Age: 18 months | Size: 50 lbs | Gender: Male
Meet Oscar! He’s anything but a grouch! Oscar is a young boy (just 18 months old) who finds himself looking for a new home. His story is a bit confusing but what we were told is that he lost his Dad when he was just a puppy. Where he’s been for the past year is unclear but what is clear is that he didn’t have much human socialization. However, Oscar doesn’t let anything stop him. Once he’s comfortable Oscar is a happy, joyful, playful puppy.
Oscar is a big tall boy and very thin at 50 pounds. Our vet feels he should be at least 60 pounds. Oscar is shy at first and takes time to get comfortable with his new surroundings. He needs space to figure things out at his own pace. Once he does, he is the sweetest most gentle boy. His foster mother said he’s an absolute pleasure and if could she’d adopt him! Oscar is goofy and funny and LOVES playing with his tennis ball. He is great in the car, loves to go for walks, and would love another dog to learn from and play with. A fenced-in yard would be nice so he could run and play with another dog but we will consider homes without fences as well if dedicated to exercise. Oscar will not enjoy a daycare situation. He’s come a long way in his foster home but will require a commitment to training and standard poodle experience.
Oscar is going to be neutered on 6/27 and will be ready to go to his new home once he’s recovered. We are reviewing applications now so if you’re interested please submit an online application. Oscar’s adoption fee is $600.
Please be sure to read through the adoption process link on our website and review Ocar’s bio to make sure you are aware of what we’re looking for in her new home.
