Size: 65 lb Doodle | Age: 9 months | Sex: Female
Penny is as playful as they come! She’s a 65 pound, 9 month old female doodle who was too exuberant for her family. As happens often with enthusiastic puppies, they’re deemed aggressive and that label follows them. Fortunately for Penny, we were able to work with the shelter and give her a second chance.
Penny has been a delight in her foster home. She LOVES playing with the other dogs (click on the film icon below) and is very curious about everything. She’s extremely smart and picks things up quickly. She loves to learn and experience it all!
Penny will succeed in the proper environment. A home with another young dog her size to play with and a fenced yard where she can run. Penny’s stubborn and so are we so do not apply if you don’t have a fenced-in yard. Penny will go to an active adult-only home. Penny is still learning not to jump up or play nip and this can be confusing to children, even the best children. We would like Penny’s new family to commit to training classes. Penny will thrive being challenged and in the right environment she will succeed.
So this is what you must have if you want to be considered for Penny’s new family: Another dog Penny’s size and age (or close to it) who’s active and enjoys playing with other dogs; a securely fenced-in yard (not electric); an active, adult-only, dog savvy home; and you must be willing to take Penny to obedience classes and more (she may enjoy agility).
Penny’s adoption donation is $650. If you’re interested in adopting Penny, re-read the paragraph above with her requirements, then be sure to read through the adoption process link on our website and then submit an application below to be considered.
