Age: 8 y/o | Size: 22 lb | Male Poodle-mix
Motas is an absolute dream dog – smart, playful, and endlessly affectionate. He loves to chase a tennis ball, wrestle with a squeaky toy and round up his canine foster sibling to play outside. He is wicked smart and after a long stretch of playing with the garden hose recently, figured out how to turn the water back on when his foster dad’s back was turned.
An eight-year old, 22 lb. poodle (or poodle mix? He’s pretty stocky with a giant head), Motas recently moved from Columbia to the US, but his new living situation –- sharing a home with a toddler — did not work out. His owners were devastated to let him go but wanted him to be in an environment where he can be happy and thrive.
Motas is housetrained, follows basic commands (en español and, increasingly, English), and was crate trained in the past though he also has enjoyed the run of the house.
Motas’s dream family and environment will include:
- An active, adult-only, dog savvy home (gentle teens okay) with humans who are around much of the time
- A sibling dog who loves to run and play
- A securely fenced-in yard (not electric) for playing
If you are interested in Motas and meet his requirements, please visit our website to complete an online application. His adoption donation is $450.
