Blackie is an adorable and lively little guy who came into rescue because his humans no longer had time to care for him. He is estimated to be 6 years old but he acts more like a puppy. He likes nothing better than to be on a lap and loves hanging out with his humans. Blackie gets along okay with most dogs, but definitely prefers the company of people and would do well as an only dog. He is playful and frisky and enjoys running around in the fenced yard, which is required in his new home. Blackie loves to chase small moving animals, so a household with cats or other small pets is not a good option for him. He is pretty good on a leash and great in the car. Blackie can be protective of his toys and treats, so he will not be placed in a home with children.
Since coming into PRNE, Blackie has had his teeth cleaned and been neutered. He gets medicated eye drops daily now because he has dry-eye. Blackie will need these drops for the rest of his life but he accepts them with little complaint.
