Lucy is a 10 year old, 20 pound beautiful red miniature poodle. She is looking for a new home because her elderly owner became ill. Lucy is very sensitive and is still grieving the loss of her mom. She has been sad and somewhat withdrawn since coming to her foster home. She is probably very confused as to why her life has been turned upside down and why she has been taken away from the only mom she has known for the past 10 years.
Lucy has a super sweet disposition. She loves tummy rubs and head scratches and will do the poodle dance to ask you to play. She is good in the car and will ride quietly in a travel crate. She is fine on a leash, but doesn’t like to go for long walks. Lucy is used to living a quiet lifestyle and has not had much exposure to children, so we are looking for an adult only home for her. She is indifferent to other dogs and prefers the company of people. Lucy is house trained and also pee pad trained for those early mornings, late nights, and inclement weather days when you don’t want to go out. Lucy is overall a calm girl, but she will bark at unfamiliar noises she hears outside.
Lucy is healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vet care. She has been well cared for and loved and is hoping to find a new home where she will be someone’s special girl again.
If you are interested in giving Lucy a new forever home, please complete an online application on our website. Her adoption donation is $400.
