Weight: 7 lbs. | Age: 1 y/o | Gender: Male
Peanut is a 1 year old, 7 pound Chipoo (chihuahua-poodle mix) who is as cute as a button! He is such a happy dog whose tail is always wagging. He is super friendly and loves everyone and everything he meets! Peanut is looking for a new home because his previous family didn’t have the time or experience to properly train a puppy. He is a bundle of love and energy and will need someone who has the time and patience to continue with his training so he grows up to be a well-mannered pup.
Peanut loves to cuddle up in soft blankets and enjoys being held and giving kisses. He will sleep in his crate at night and will go right in there once you put in some cozy bedding for him. Peanut loves to be with his family and gets a little anxious when they leave home without him. He loves attention and wants to be part of the action. He is a busy boy and likes playing with toys, but needs to be watched so he doesn’t start playing with something he shouldn’t. He will need continued work on his house training skills, but is fine wearing a belly band when he cannot be watched closely and/or let out frequently. He is very food motivated and eager to please, so he should do well with housebreaking with time, positive rewards, and consistency.
Peanut has lived with another dog, cat, and children and was good with them all. He would do well with another playful dog in the household, but may be too much for a senior/low-key dog. He is a bundle of excitement with lots of puppy energy. He is okay on a leash but would do best with a securely fenced in yard. He is very curious and will try to escape if there are any gaps in the fence and will happily go off with a stranger so he needs to be monitored for his own safety.
Peanut is a work in progress and will need someone committed to training, but he will be worth the effort. He is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccines. His adoption donation is $600.
Please complete an online application if you meet Peanut’s requirements as detailed in his bio and would like to be considered for adoption.
